Once the old siding was removed, we discovered conditions that couldn't have been seen beforehand. The home had three existing siding layers, and sections of the original wall sheathing had gaps too large to properly support the new siding system.
Rather than covering those conditions, we documented what we found, explained why it mattered, and recommended installing new plywood sheathing before moving forward.
This gave the new siding a solid foundation and helped ensure the finished system would perform the way it was designed.
